Welcome to a New Year!!

I am delighted to move up to 3rd and 4th grades! I look forward to working with all of my students! Currently, I have 12 students enrolled in 4th grade and 21 students enrolled in 3rd grade. We are going to learn a lot together this year!

In third grade, we will explore the history, regions, geographical features, historic battles, landmarks and heroes of our great state of South Carolina!

In fourth grade, we will learn about the history of the United States, from its beginning until 1865! We are also using Journey's as our ELA curriculum guide, which will be supplemented with various award winning novels!

Please check for daily grammar and spelling homework. Also, each child should read 20-30 mins per night to build vocabulary, comprehension and fluency.

Please feel free to contact me via telephone at (843) 397-5719 ext.23 or via email at asmalls@theacademyofhope.org.
